Location: The nearby historic market town of Great Torrington has a wide range of amenities including banks, butchers, Post Office, pet shop, bakeries, pubs, restaurants, primary and secondary school and places of worship. The nearby Tarka Trail is one of the country's longest continuous traffic-free walking and cycling paths, and forms part of the Devon Coast to Coast Cycle Route. At Westward Ho! (10 miles) there is a three mile long safe and sandy beach that adjoins the Northam Burrows Country Park and the Royal North Devon Golf Club, which is reputed to be the oldest links course in England.
